April round up

Preview paperwork such as expense receipts in the browser

April saw the release of a host of quality of life improvements based on your feedback as well as a new FNC application report, integrations with Autumna and carehome.co.uk, new measures to improve password security and new API features - phew!

Preview files in your browser

Files uploaded to CareHQ can now be previewed in the browser. This feature was requested to speed up the process of users reviewing receipts against expense reports who until now had to download each file to view them.

Previews are supported for files that can be natively viewed in your browser such as PDFs and images (JPEG and PNGs). Any file uploaded to CareHQ in a supported format can be previewed, including; expense receipts, service user documents and literature.

Transfer care enquiries to sister homes

You can now transfer care enquiries to other care homes within your group. This features makes it easier to refer care seekers to a sister home for example when a service user's needs can't be met at the home to take the initial enquiry but can potentially be met by a nearby sister care home.

Transferring a care enquiry takes care of creating the new enquiry at the sister care home including copying over any associated key contacts and comments.

Other updates & fixes

  • Simplified the process for removing invalid care enquiries imported from referrer feeds (such as Autumna and carehome.co.uk). As feeds are automated there are occasions where a care enquiry may be imported that is invalid, for example where the care enquiry form has been used to send a general enquiry or marketing material. It's now quick and simple for any user to remove these invalid care enquiries.
  • User passwords are now checked against HaveIBeenPwned (HIBP) when users sign-in or change their password. Passwords present in the HIBP database are considered unsafe.  We now alert users if they are using passwords we believe to be unsafe, and advise them to change the password(s), as well as preventing new passwords from being set if they appear in the HIBP database.
  • Multi-Factor / 2-Factor authentication (MFA/2FA) one time passwords (OTPs) are now auto-populated on supported devices / web browsers.
  • Respite / permanent filter added to the weekly rate report.
  • The FNC application status can now be set against residents / service users.
  • Added additional relationship options for care seekers and resident / service user key contacts: Independent broker and Other.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to submit invoice runs with no invoice selected to generate.
  • Added checks to prevent accidental double submissions of forms.
  • Fixed issue where attempting to view an outbound message record with an invoice attached would cause an error.
  • Added checks to change rate helper to ensure that the date on which the rate will change is within the current booking.
  • Fixed issue where adding a child group to a parent group with a child of the same name would cause an error. A friendly form error is now presented to the user.
