January round up

January round up 2024

January was a quieter month on the release front with much of the team working on the new Direct Debit feature scheduled for February. However, we did release a number of small improvements and fixes based on user feedback.

  • Add an option to filter resident listings and exports based on whether a resident is currently absent or not.
  • Absences are now automatically ended when the resident's current booking ends, and any required credit note for the absence is generated.
  • Added an orderable column to resident document listings indicating when the document was uploaded.
  • Email reminders are now sent to care seekers the day before a home visit. This helps reduce the number of missed visits especially when a mobile number isn't known for the care seeker, preventing an SMS reminder from being sent the morning of the visit.
  • Fixed error where MFA setup was not removed when resetting access for a user's account.
  • Fixed issue where importing an empty list (e.g. an empty string in the CSV file for a list field) would store a string instead of an list.
  • Term aliases are now used by the scheduler ensuring that aliases are used in automated scheduled emails and text messages (for example when resident should be used instead of the default term service user).
  • Updated the reply to addresses included in iCal attachments for home visits and assessments to use the new reply to address format.
  • Add booking button no longer appears when a resident's current booking is open ended but does now appear when their current booking has an end date set.
  • Fixed issue where in some scenarios the block booking occupancy figure within the occupancy report could be incorrect (too high) for a period (where the block booking extended outside the start date of the reported on period).
  • Total column in the Xero export now contains the invoice total not the line item total.
  • API authentication signatures (which are a hexadecimal representation of a binary hash) are no longer case sensitive. This issue affected users writing their own low-level API integrations and not anyone using CareHQ SDKs.
  • Fixed issue where credit notes in Xero exports would be assigned a negative line item price which would cause Xero to flag an error on import.
