Linking an NHS ICB location contact to Tradeshift
CareHQ integrates with Tradeshift to allow invoices and credit notes raised on CareHQ to be sent through the Tradeshift platform. In order for this to work we need to link the location contacts being billed on CareHQ with the NHS ICB (Integrated Care Board) they relate to on Tradeshift.
This article explains the process of linking a location contact on CareHQ with the relevant NHS ICB on your Tradeshift account.
This article assumes that the Tradeshift integration has been set up for your CareHQ account.
Linking a location contact on CareHQ
Whilst signed into CareHQ follow these steps to link a location contact to the NHS ICB's Tradeshift tenant:
Only link companies you have connected with on Tradeshift to location contacts in CareHQ. Sending invoices through to an NHS ICB on Tradeshift you aren't connected to will fail.
- Select Locations from the primary navigation.
- Select the location in which the location contact you want to link to Tradeshift is set up.
- Select the Contacts tab.
- Search for the location contact by name to find them.
- Against the relevant location contact select the 3 dots icon in the top-right corner to reveal the actions menu and then select Update.

Within the Update form in the section headed TradeShift, you will see a field labelled NHS ICB.
- Enter either the NHS ICB's Org code, Payable code or Name then select the relevant organisation from the list that appears.
- Select the Save button to apply your changes.
