September round up

Marking days as not available and copying bookings using the new day care chart

September saw the release of the new day care feature on CareHQ allowing care homes to manage day care sessions and attendees. There is also a new report for Day care bookings along with a number of other workflow improvements.

Manage day care

You can now manage day care residents in CareHQ. The new feature allows locations to define the day care sessions they run (e.g. Full day, Morning, Afternoon etc.), on which days they run them, any chargeable extras (e.g. breakfast, lunch, transport, etc.), pricing and the number of available places.

Resident records have been updated to allow an individual to be both a day care resident and a resident in the home, to cover scenarios such as when a resident uses both day care and respite services, as well as to retain a history of the resident if they transition from day care to a permanent resident.

A new dedicated day care chart is now available from the primary navigation making it easy to view and manage the residents attending on any given week. The chart also features the ability to copy resident bookings from one week to the next so there's no need to re-add bookings that repeat.

Other updates & fixes

  • Added the ability to optionally define a fixed list of tags that can be used to tag location contacts.
  • Users can now opt-in to be notified by email whenever they receive a reply to a message they have sent through CareHQ.
  • When an assessment outcome is recorded for a care enquiry / service user a comment is now automatically added to the care enquiry with details of the outcome. This ensures details of the outcome, and the outcome of any reassessment, are easily accessible when viewing comments (previously outcomes would be accessed via separate tabs).
  • Expense categories can now be assigned nominal codes so that all categorised expenses in a ledger now feature a nominal code on export.
  • When managing groups with parent groups (such as referrers and referrer groups) you can now filter by parent group (such as Digital referrers).
  • Fixed issue where billing period start date could not be populated when importing billing party types (service users, service user contacts and location contacts).
  • Added better handling for formatting inbound emails where non-breaking spaces have been used between every word; previously this would cause messages to appear wider than the page.
