January round up

Updating an API key
You can now create an API key and credentials to access your data via CareHQ's REST API.

We've had a busy start to 2022 with the release of the CareHQ REST API along with a host of improvements and fixes.

CareHQ REST API released in Beta

Our new REST API is now available to CareHQ clients. This is a Beta release with a limited set of data models currently available to read from or write to, however, one key feature available in this initial release is the ability to create care enquiries.

TrustedCare will be the first service to take advantage of the API with integration planned for the end of February. TrustedCare's integration will mean new enquiries and follow up comments on TrustedCare are instantly synced to CareHQ.

We will be releasing more information about the API, including documentation, in February.

Other updates & fixes

  • You can now specify a custom issue date when using the invoice run to generate multiple invoices.

  • A new location groups column has been added to the user CSV and Excel exports.
  • A total figure has been added to the open column on the acquisitions report.
  • Funding types for Local authority + top-up and DTA / Block bed have been added.
  • Weekly rate now appears in the line item description for invoices when the booking/contract rate is per week (previously the fractional day rate was shown).
  • The account code is now displayed prominently for service user key contacts and location contacts. It's also now possible to search for contacts by account code.

  • Removed erroneous column when listing invoices for a location contact.
  • It's now possible to run the EOL (End of Life) report for a single day.
  • The average daily death rate is now visible on the EOL report graph, previously in some scenarios this figure would not be plotted on the graph.

  • It is now possible to remove the billing set up for service users, service user key contacts and location contacts.
