CareHQ February round up 2024

February saw the release of new functionality for managing Direct Debits within CareHQ, as well as a new accruals report and numerous quality of life improvements and fixes based on your feedback.

Direct Debit support

CareHQ now offers support for managing your Direct Debit mandates and transactions. The new Direct Debit feature simplifies collecting of payments, takes care of sending out setup and advance notices, verifies bank accounts in real-time and allows you to export mandates and transactions in Standard 18 format.

Other updates & fixes

  • New accruals report showing over and under billed for a given period. The previous accruals report which provides projected figures for over billed and under billed on a given date has been renamed to Accruals (projected).
  • Added support for importing Direct Debit mandates through the import engine.
  • Location references are now available in invoice number templates. In groups where locations each run separate accounting applications/accounts this provides a solution to ensure invoice numbers are never duplicated.
  • The billing schedule report can now be filtered by location.
  • Bank holidays for England & Wales now appear on calendars for locations.
  • You can now record a billing party's preference for receiving billing communications (e.g. invoices, DD notices, statements, etc.)
  • When setting a monthly billing schedule it's now possible to set a day of the month the billing period starts on. Previously monthly billing schedules always billed from the 1st of the month to the last day of the month.
  • The benchmark mark report load time has been improved. Response time is now approximately 5 times faster.
  • Fixed issue with manually raising outstanding invoices not adhering to the minimum invoice date set for a location.
  • Fixed issue where updating the fee contribution for a fixed monthly fee (set as a weekly rate) would not save the new fee.
  • Resolved duplicate entries from the referrer benchmark report caused by minor changes in referrer labels at source.
  • Updated the room performance report to correctly handle leap years. Previously a date range containing the 29th of February would result in an error page.
