Carerealm integration
We're excited to announce CareHQ now integrates with Carerealm. Carerealm's integration provides a 2-way sync of resident data, as well as key events (such as a change in care needs), between Carerealm's planning and rostering platform and CareHQ.
Carerealm is a well-established care planning and rostering platform for supported living care providers, and recently they've released support for residential and nursing homes. As part of this work they've also developed an integration with CareHQ, and we're really impressed with what this makes possible.
Keep operations and finance in the loop with a 2-way integration
Setting up a link between CareHQ and Carerealm is as simple as generating an API key on CareHQ and adding it to your Carerealm account. After that, Carerealm will automatically synchronise your care homes (locations) and residents from CareHQ into their platform.
This means whenever you record a new resident on CareHQ, that resident will appear within your care planning platform automatically. So far so good, but what makes Carerealm's integration really interesting is its ability to feed key events back into CareHQ.
Within Carerealm, care providers can define workflows which trigger a series of actions based on different scenarios. For example, you might define a workflow along the following lines:
-
When medication is refused...
- Send an in-app notification to the manager.
- Add a diary entry flagging that medication was refused.
Workflows both save time and help ensure the correct processes are followed after an event. What makes them especially useful is that they can also trigger updates in CareHQ. For example:
-
When a resident is recorded as passing away on Carerealm...
- Add an action to the resident in CareHQ, with the date of passing, requesting that the location manager discharges the resident.
-
When a resident's care needs change on Carerealm...
- Add an action to the resident in CareHQ, describing the change and requesting that the location manager reviews the resident's care fees and funding criteria.
The ability to call CareHQ based on workflows within Carerealm ensures events recorded by those caring for residents are immediately visible to location managers, operations and finance departments within CareHQ, reducing the potential for required updates to be missed or delayed.
Interested in trying Carerealm?
If you're interested in trying out Carerealm for either their care planning and/or rostering features, we'd recommend visiting their website and requesting a demo through their contact form.
They offer a free, no-commitment trial of their platform and, similar to CareHQ, their subscription is per care home and costs £150 per month (exc. VAT), meaning there are no per-user or per-bed fees.
If you have any additional questions about the integration, please reach out to support at support@crmhq.co.uk.
