How to change the order of rooms across CareHQ

It can be useful to have rooms listed on CareHQ in a familiar or preferred order, especially if you have named rooms rather than numbered. It's possible to set a default room order which is then used wherever rooms are listed.

This article covers how to set a preferred room order for any care location/home on CareHQ.

Rooms are ordered for a selected care location one floor at a time, to make the room list and ordering process more manageable for larger homes.

How to manually set the room order for a care location/home

To set the room order for a chosen location, follow the steps below:

  • Select Locations from the main navigation menu, then select the location where the rooms need to be ordered.
  • From the location page, select the Rooms tab, then select more actions (three dots) in the top right of the screen before selecting the Order by floor option.
  • The rooms of the Ground Floor will usually be displayed first. Drag and drop any room into a new position in the order as required. Repeat until the desired order is achieved for the floor, then select Apply to save the changes.
  • If the location/home has multiple floors, select Floor to change to another floor and repeat the above step.

After reordering, the room list will show in your preferred order across CareHQ including the Rooms list for a location (including exports), the Room chart, Update rates table, Fire sheet, TV (ARC) licence report and Room performance report.
