We source market data from TrustedCare for benchmarking for a number of reasons, including;

We want you to have confidence in benchmarks and to have the tools at hand to be able to gauge how accurate they are.
All market data we source is anonymised which means no individual or combination of data points for a record could be used to identify an individual. The data allows us to provide market benchmarks as an aggregate but does not allow us to identify or provide insights about individual care seekers or service users.
Data we source is reviewed for biases and where we find potential issues with bias the data is removed.
We use data from the last 12 month (365 days) to provide market benchmarks which means the amount of data we're using varies daily. To help you understand the quantity of data used to generate a benchmark, all reports provide a sample size guide. The size of the sample will vary depending on the benchmark and any filters applied to the report (such as period or region). The following table indicates what each of the sample sizes represent.

* Smaller sample sets will tend to provide less accurate benchmarks and once the sample size is less than 100 (tiny) this is below the threshold we would consider likely to return a meaningful result.
Whilst we don't provide exact figures for the amount of market data we have available (as it changes daily) we expect in 2023 to have approx. 30k records and 750k data points on any given day.
